The Fundamentals

This is the core program of the Mekka system!

An initiation to a fresh new vision. Presenting the fundamental laws of geometry and design applied to structural haircutting. A challenging and mind opening class, for any artist, new in the industry to senior stylists, wanting a fresh new way to understand the art of Haircutting.

• Study of canvas (head shape)
• Study of hair characteristics
• Blow-dry and finishing review
• Contemporary framing and detailing
• Consultation psychology

Registration deadline:  14 days prior to first day of class

 

Equipment/supplies needed:  Scissors, cutting comb, Denman brush (9-row), duckbill clips, small elastics, blow dryer, flat iron, spray bottle, pen/pencil & notepad     

All first time students to the advanced fundamental will receive the 4 volume advanced fundamental video series and a 9 row Mekka branded Denman brush which is a necessary tool during our program.

 

*The Mekka fundamentals teaches 16 basic patterns  and 34 variables. To make sure students have a chance to learn all the various technics, the program is broken down into 5 versions. Students can join into any of the versions and learn all 50 hairccuts.

 

Refunds/Cancellations: Full refunds will be issued if class is cancelled. Any cancellations by registrants must be received 30 days prior to start date or no refund will be issued but deposit is transferable to future Mekka programs.
